Passport and visa
Check with a Chinese high commission, embassy, consulate or travel agency to find out what documents are required to enter China. A list of countries and territories whose citizens require a visa to enter China as visitors can be found at website. Ensure that you review the new entry requirements now in effect regarding Electronic Travel Authorizations for visa-exempt foreign nationals.

Chinese (mandarin) is the national language of China, and English is widely spoken in educated circle.

The weather in May can range from a low temperature of 17 Celsius degrees, to a high one of 26 Celsius degrees; average rainfall is 104-115mm.

Electricity
China’s electrical supply and outlets (sockets, wall plugs) are different from those found in the United States and Europe. The electrical supply is 220 Volts and 50 Hertz (cycles per second).

Local Transportation
ICOLD 2025 hotels will be arranged within a walking distance to the conference center and exhibition hall. There are city buses, subways and taxi systems in Chengdu. You can choose among these systems and obtain convenient trip planning tools on their websites. Chengdu is very safe for city walking.
